Robert McClanahanBob & sleepy puppy, Winnie

My name is Robert McClanahan and I earned my DVM from Oregon State University in 2000. After 8 years of small animal practice in Oregon, I moved back to my home town, to be near family.

For 12 years, I was a small animal practitioner in Milwaukee county. Mobile Pet Doctor was formed in an effort to address the requests and interest I received for mobile veterinary services. In 2020 a decision was made to transition Mobile Pet Doctor to an at home Euthanasia Service. Since 2021, we have been providing full time euthanasia services because of the great need for it.

I love spending time with my daughter, taking road trips, and being outdoors at much as possible. I'm also "Uncle Bob" to a cool cat named Arthur.

Thank you for your time.
Sincerely, Robert L. McClanahan, DVM.

Nicky & Sunny

My name is Nicole Hanson and I'm a Certified Veterinary Technician. I earned my Veterinary Technician Associate of Science Degree from Penn Foster College in 2018.

I started off working in veterinary medicine back in 2009 at a general practice in Oak Creek. I then worked for several years at Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists in both the ER and Internal Medicine departments. At that time, I also started working with Dr. McClanahan on the Mobile Pet Doctor.

My passions are helping senior pets and drawing. I enjoy spending my off time with my family and all my cats.

I want to share how Mobile Pet Doctor became a full time at home euthanasia service. In 2020, the decision was made to transition from a general mobile practice to an at home euthanasia service. This decision was made because of the loss of my best friend Sunny in June of 2020. During the pandemic, I had to make the difficult decision to help her pass. At that time, we weren't allowed to go into vet clinics because of covid. I didn't want to her be alone. So, I made the brave decision that I would be the one to help her pass at home. Dr. Bob was Sunny's vet her whole life and helped me to do this. Her passing was everything I wanted for her. It was pain free, stress-free, peaceful, dignified, and loving. I was not ready to let her go. I don't think we'[[ ever be ready to say goodbye to them even when they are ready. Through that personal experience, I knew I could provide this to other pet owners just like I was able to do for Sunny and myself.

Thank you, Nicky Hanson, CVT.
